The deployment of Google Earth has made visually accessible every inch of the planet, making it a powerful tool not only to satisfy our curiosity but also to feed our voyeuristic impulse. Fontcuberta has consulted corporate guidelines re establishing a repertoire of naturist beaches where nudity is practiced, and he has then looked for them using Google Earth’s tool.
The result are blurry and abstract images in which what we know takes prevails over what we see: in an automatic way we to try to identify the lewd bodies in the sun being caught by the great technological paparazzi.
