TA MED HJEM

A Project by Juanma González

Dammed water.
Retained water.

Artificial nature. Unnatural lake. Unnatural forest.

Human Beings transform the Earth for their blessing.
And breaks its cycles.
And changes its times.
Past farmer people.
Present thirsty people.
Future,
Our Earth will not help us one more time.

Artificial consume. Unnatural fruits. Unnatural lifes.

Imprisoned water.
Unfree water.

Hardbakka was an area inhabited in the mountains close to Bergen.

In 30s, city goverment started to build a dam. Where there were two natural lakes, there are an water reservoir. Where there were farmers, there are a forest.

Bergen is the rainiest place of Europe.

The HARDBAKKA RUINS PROJECT is a site-specific art workshop that started in 2013 and takes place around the ruins of Hardbakka, close to the Svartediket in Bergen, Norway. The project consists of a workshop and exhibition, inviting artists, architects, and students interested in creating a work that relates to the site. It is an opportunity to use this inspiring place as a platform for artistic activities.

TA MED HJEM means 'take away / bring at home'.

TA MED HJEM was a project carried out in 23-30 June 2014
